PbSi provides Real Property Asset Management Support using AutoCAD technology for the U.S. Coast Guard. Support provided includes file manipulation and drawing updates as well as spreadsheet and other data file management. Using the Coast Guard’s Technical Information Management (CG-TIMS) System, PbSi staff upload and extract technical information and engineering data from this system as part of the asset enrollment. Staff create and manipulate data on asset cards using the CG–TIMS System; prepare letters, spreadsheets, presentations and various types of correspondence. Using the Autodesk AutoCAD program for drawing, editing, photo interpretation and vectorization. PbSi specialists create a variety of products to support defined requirements.

Specific work includes updating original site plans for producing Official Plot Plans (OPP). Support also includes downloading digital photos and GPS data from GIS enabled cameras and manipulating that data; compiling geographic data from multiple sources including censuses, field observation, satellite imagery, aerial photographs, and existing maps; assisting with the development of geographic database structures, tables, forms and reports. A technically diverse and geographically dispersed PbSi project staff provides this support to CG Civil Engineering Units throughout the United States, including Alaska, California, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, North Carolina, Virginia, and Florida. PbSi headquarters staff manage the scheduling, deployment, document management, travel and financial activities while on site staff set-up mobile offices and coordinate local communication.

Human Capital Management/Training

Management

PbSi provides administrative, management and technical services to support client human capital management requirements by establishing and managing programs and processes that support both Federal and contract employees across the breadth of traditional HR services, including training, annual planning, directives management, workforce plan administration, buy-out/early-out administration, A-76 sourcing, position management and classification, safety, recruitment and placement, retirement counseling and services, performance management, incentive awards and monitoring employee certification requirements. PbSi also develops annual operating plans as well as operational processes and procedures to implement annual operating plan components.

With its’ comprehensive suite of reports, POWER provides a detailed view of personnel and training data, and of administrative performance. Database Development and Management

Independent Verification and Validation

PbSi, as an independent third party, reviews and evaluates audit-related products or services to ensure that systems and applications fulfill defined requirements and perform as expected. PbSi verifies that requirements are correctly and completely implemented, specifically addressing quality and reliability. Project Staff base all findings on sound engineering, analysis, and management practices. PbSi assigns staff possessing knowledge of a vast array of IV&V methodologies and technologies, the information technology marketplace, program management, industry best practices, industry standard quality assurance methodologies; and a thorough, in-depth understanding of and familiarity with Government financial audit standards. Through these efforts, PbSi has supported several emergency planning and response organizations who utilize commonly configured managed data sets to meet their individualized needs.
